PARIS (AP) – Andreas Mies threw himself on his back and Kevin Krawietz fell to his knees as he celebrated that they had revalidated their title of doubles champions at the French Open.

The German duo defeated Croatian Mate Pavic and Brazilian Bruno Soares, recent US Open champions, 6-3, 7-5 in the final.

Eighth-seeded Mies and Krawietz sealed victory with their second match point when Soares left a forehand at the net.
