Minas Gerais exceeded to mark of eight thousand deaths by COVID-19 this Saturday (10). Epidemiological bulletin released by the State Department of Health (SES) shows that 69 deaths occurred within 24 hours, which makes the total amount jump to 8,061.
As for the number of cases, SES informs that the state has 321,140 diagnoses: 26,799 people still face symptoms viruses and 286,280 have already recovered, in addition to the more than eight thousand who lost their lives.
Therefore, the state recorded 3,050 cases confirmed in the last 24 hours. The cities most affected are, in order, Belo Horizonte (44,127), Uberlândia (30,970), Montes Claros (9,397), Contagem (9,384) and Ipatinga (8,989), informs SES.
Only five prefectures among the 853 in the state did not confirm cases of infection by the new coronavirus until this Saturday: Botumirim (North), Camacho (Midwest), Cedro do Abaeté (Central), Pedro Teixeira (Zona da Mata) and São Tomé das Letras (South).
Of these cities, only São Tomé das Letras and Botumirim have more than five thousand inhabitants. Cedro do Abaeté is the second smallest city in the state, with 1,164 residents.
