There are 1,884 new people infected by Covid in Lombardy. Over 1,000 would have registered in Milan alone.
More precisely, in Milan and its province, there were 1,031 new cases against 440 yesterday. In the region there were 99 new admissions in the ordinary wards and 2 in the Intensive Care Unit. The swabs performed were 29,000 against 17 thousand yesterday, when there were 1,080 new cases. The percentage of positives on the swabs performed is 6.3%. Numbers therefore in strong growth compared to yesterday which, according to the AGI agency, could lead to new restrictive measures after a confrontation in the Prefecture and between the Region and health workers.
In Lombardy there are 84,415 healed / discharged. Of the new 1,884 positive cases, 189 are weakly positive and 13 following serological testing. In intensive care there are 64 (+2). The non-intensive care patients are 645 (+99). There were 17 deaths for a total of 17,011. The new cases by province: Milan: 1,032, of which 504 in Milan city; Bergamo: 46; Brescia: 81; Como: 67; Cremona: 30; Lecco: 29; Praise: 23; Mantua: 42; Monza and Brianza: 150; Pavia: 101; Sondrio: 14; Varese: 110.
Ready to reopen the hospital in Fiera Milano
In Lombardy there are 150 beds in intensive care provided in the various hubs destined to receive Covid patients. If they all fill up, “the Region’s plan is to reopen the Fiera di Milano hospital”. Antonio Pesenti, coordinator of the Crisis Unit of the Region for intensive care, specifies this to Ansa.
Until yesterday, 63 patients were in intensive care. Currently 10 hubs are active in Lombardy with Covid departments, but another 7-8 can be gradually activated.
