Naula Ancient City is being cleaned in Alanya

With the cooperation of ANTALYA Metropolitan Municipality and Alanya Municipality, cleaning work has been started in Naula Ancient City in Mahmutlar.

While the project development process of the Alanya Museum Directorate for the restoration works related to the ancient city of Naula was continuing, the Metropolitan Municipality and Alanya Municipality took action after the local residents and the Neighborhood Headman, Ahmet Top, asked the area to be cleaned and brought into tourism. In cooperation with the two municipalities, cleaning work was initiated in the ancient city, which is surrounded by walls and 200 meters from the sea.

In order to make the restoration work carried out by the Alanya Museum Directorate more easily, the ancient city is cleaned of garbage, bushes and harmful plants. With the work, both historical ruins in the ancient city will be revealed and tourists will be able to visit the area more comfortably. Located in Mahmutlar District, 20 kilometers from the center of Alanya, Naula Ancient City is built on an area of 33 decares. There are 6 temples, 2 churches and an ancient theater belonging to the Byzantine period in the ancient city.
