Located at the end of the west coast, the lighthouse on Hamneskär Island has, since 1868, guide ships through the rough waters off the Sweden. Led by a couple of nature lovers, Our father is now an intimate hotel perfectly isolated from the rest of the world.
Designed by the architects studio Stilt, visitors put down their suitcases in nine rooms that recall the decor of cleverly vintage boat cabins. Facing the sea, they combine dark woodwork, precious wallpaper and slightly rustic furniture.
Colonized alone or as a tribe, there is also a restaurant that gives pride of place to the local terroir (especially fish and shellfish), a bar expert in organic beers and a cafe that excels in Nordic pastries.
On the spot program? Sea trips to discover the surrounding flora and fauna, deep sea fishing, reading, cooking lessons, kayaking, scuba diving, meditation … All far from the hectic city pace.
