Relief finally came to the college student’s family Mariana Lima Drumond, 35 years old. Disappeared since September 24 after leaving home in Bairro Santa Efigênia, Eastern Region of Belo Horizonte, it was located this Sunday. The information was confirmed by an aunt of the student of physical education this Monday.
“She was found at Raul Soares Square (Center) last night. A boy who does work with homeless people went there and, from the description of the clothes, realized that it was her ”, explained Vânia de Freitas Drumond, 68 years old. The young woman was calm, according to witnesses. “Then the police arrived. They talked to her very calmly. The mother went there to meet her and Mariana wanted to return home ”, says the aunt.
According to her, today Mariana is at home with her parents. She also commented on the 17 days of searching for her niece. “It was a great suffering, without knowing where she was, how she was, everything goes through her head. But, thank God, it was found yesterday, ”he said.
Mariana has schizophrenia and is under treatment. Last month, her aunt said that the young woman was hospitalized for two months at the André Luiz Hospital, in the Western Region of Belo Horizonte, and had been discharged on September 17. On the day of her disappearance, she had a doctor’s appointment.
The family went to the police, who released a poster and channels for the population to get in touch with clues to the university’s whereabouts. They also hired a motoboy to travel the streets of the capital to look for her, in addition to posting and distributing posters with Mariana’s photo in Belo Horizonte.
The Civil Police reported that, in view of Mariana’s reappearance, her family should go to a police station to register the police report on the location. still according to the police, the Specialized Reference Division of the Missing Person will continue with the investigations for the conclusion of the case.
