Putin and Macron shut down their weapons in Nagorno Karabakh


(ANSA) – MOSCOW, 01 OCT – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Frenchman Emmanuel Macron have called for a “total” suspension of fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh and said they are ready to step up diplomatic efforts to help resolve the conflict. This was reported by the Kremlin after a telephone conversation between the two leaders. Among the issues addressed, also the situation in Belarus, on which Putin reiterated to the French president that “any attempt to interfere in the affairs of a sovereign country is unacceptable”. The conversation took place after the meeting in Vilnius between the French president and the leader of the Belarusian opposition, Svetlana Tikhanovskaïa. (HANDLE).
