A deposit of R $ 2 million done by the national directory of PSL directly in the account of a candidate for councilor in the capital opened a crisis between the candidate for City Hall Joice Hasselmann and the top of the party. The money comes from Special Campaign Fund and it is part of the total quota allocated to PSL: R $ 199.4 million.
The amount was allocated to the candidate Abou Anni Filho, who is the son of the federal deputy Paulo Sérgio Abou Anni (PSL-SP). The list of candidates for PSL councilor in the capital has 83 candidates. “There were complaints from the councilors for the distortion and the national directory will reverse this deposit,” he told Estadão the deputy Junior Bozzella, president of the São Paulo PSL.
According to PSL officials in the state, Joice’s campaign in the capital will receive R $ 5 million, but so far only R $ 1 million has fallen into the party’s account. On Sunday, candidates for councilman of the caption even articulated a collective resignation in WhatsApp groups, but the movement was stopped by Joice. The candidate then began to pressure the National Executive.
“The deposit made by the National Executive of the PSL in the account of a single candidate at the expense of another 82 generated an immediate reaction and with reason. I, as a candidate for mayor, could not help defending my candidates “, Joice told Estadão. “I have always fought for what is right and just and will continue to be so. We even have women’s quotas established by law. But after I explained the situation of the PSL president, Luciano Bivar, he understood the mistake that was made and now the amount allocated to Abou Anni son will be returned and redirected to the ticket. “
According to the petition submitted by the PSL to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the National Directorate (chaired by deputy Luciano Bivar) decides how to allocate 50% of the money that the party will receive from the electoral fund, or R $ 99,721,209.90.
The other 50% will be distributed among the state directories, 20% of which will be divided equally and the remaining 30% will be apportioned following the performance of each state in the election of federal deputies in 2018.
The PSL has 5,000 candidates for councilor in the state of São Paulo and 300 for mayor.
