Oct 13 (Reuters) – The S&P 500 and Dow indices opened lower on Tuesday following a pause in Johnson & Johnson’s testing of its COVID-19 vaccine, while the Nasdaq rose ahead of Apple’s planned big events. and Amazon.

* The Dow Jones Industrial Average <.dji> fell 72.57 points, or 0.25%, to 28,764.95 units.

* El S&P 500 <.spx> was down 0.21 points, or 0.01%, to 3,534.01, while the Nasdaq Composite <.ixic> it rose 25.50 points, or 0.21%, to 11,901.76 units.
