The poet Seyhan Girginer, who wrote the lyrics of famous songs such as “You are Hidden in My Tears, I Can’t Cry” “I am Gone to My Power”, died in Izmir this morning.

WHO IS SEYHAN GİRGİNER?
The poet Seyhan Girginer, who was born in Urfa, was born in Urfa. He was selected as the “Songwriter of the Year” in 1988 with the song “Hidden in My Tears” composed by Zekai Tunca. He won the song of the year twice in the “Milliyet Music Awards” contest with his song “Yağmur Gözlüm”, composed by İlgün Soysev. In 1989, he won two different awards in the “Milliyet Most Loved Songs of the Year” contest, with the poem “I Miss You Like This” composed by Ziya Taşkent and “I Miss You Like This” poem composed by İlgün Soysev. He received the “Golden Butterfly” award as the lyricist of the year in the TRT Music Awards Competition with the song “Tears in my eyes”. In the following years, he signed many important songs as a songwriter. Many famous composers and important names of Turkish music composed his poems such as Coşkun Sabah and Selami Şahin.
