If you are a fan of the series LuciferWe’re sorry for you: the second half of season 5 is unlikely to be released this year on Netflix. Info given by Joe Henderson, showrunner of the program.
To everyone’s surprise, season 5 of Lucifer has been cut into two parts. A first for the series. Basically, this season was only supposed to consist of 10 episodes. But in the end, 6 more were shot. In August, the first eight episodes arrived on Netflix, the other eight are still not available. And obviously they won’t be for a little while.
Why? Once again, it’s because of this damn coronavirus: the finale of the series must have been shot a little late. By now, the delay would have been made up and a sixth season is already underway. So we do not hang around but we will still have to be patient to see the outcome of season 5.
Here is what Joe Henderson, Lucier showrunner, explains on Twitter: “In all honesty, I don’t know how long it will take to finish everything. But I think everyone should be prepared for a longer wait than expected ”
“Post-production is labor-intensive and just takes an awful lot of time. A release in December is really excluded. We will therefore have to wait until 2021. ”
Currently, the filming of the sixth season of Lucifer is in Classes. The American news site TVLine reports that this sixth season will only include 8 episodes. Fans were initially disappointed, until actor DB Woodside stepped in. The actor, who plays Amenadiel in the series, announces that the rumors are false. The sixth and final season of Lucifer will consist of no less than 10 episodes. This is something to relieve the fans.
