The Sultanate of Brunei is in mourning. Prince Haji ‘Abdul’ Azim passed away this Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:08 a.m. at the age of 38. Born July 29, 1982, he was the second of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s five sons. His mother is Mariam Aziz, the second wife of the monarch (polygamy is legal in Brunei), with whom he was married between 1982 and 2003.
