Forem publishes dozens of job offers for jobs linked to the coronavirus crisis, including for profiles of technicians in testing laboratories, confirms Forem spokesperson Thierry Ney in Sudpresse headlines on Tuesday. About thirty positions are also to be filled at Novasep, which is working with AstraZeneca to produce the vaccine against Covid-19.
“Technologists” are among the jobs in short supply, while testing centers and laboratories are overwhelmed by the work related to Covid-19 screening. “For laboratories, we are at 63 offers for technologists and 47 for administrative functions. We have nearly 25 commitments already made. Three laboratories have found all of their candidates, four others continue to search”.
In Wallonia, a large part of the offers posted online by Forem come from the Jolimont (La Louvière) site, where there is a large testing center. But many offers also come from the Brussels Region where the laboratories are also overwhelmed by work. Finally, the company Novasep, in Seneffe, is also recruiting production technicians. Working with AstraZeneca to produce a vaccine, it is in this context that around thirty positions are to be filled. For the moment, the thirty jobs sought for this vaccine are “interim assignments” d’un an.
