Despite the negative effects that the pandemic has caused in the world, during the third quarter of 2020, Tesla posted a further sales record.
How many cars did Tesla sell?
According to the company’s own records, from July to September 2020, sales increased by 43 percent globally, this thanks to the commercialization of 139,300 vehicles.
In this third quarter of 2020, Tesla sold 15,200 units of the Model S and Model X, 12.6 percent less compared to 2019, while the Model 3 and Model Y 124,100 units were placed, this is 56 percent more.
Regarding production, Tesla manufactured 145,036 vehicles, un 50 percent more compared to the 96,155 vehicles it assembled between July and September 2019.
Of this total number, 16,992 units were Model S and Model X, up 4 percent, while 128,044 units were Model 3 and Model Y, up 60 percent.
