The new Dpcm will arrive no later than Monday 19 October, if not already Sunday, which will in fact go beyond the one launched no more than four days ago, before the situation of the Coronavirus infections reached alarming levels like the last record of over 10 thousand cases and the increase in hospitalizations in intensive care. At dawn today, October 17, the summit in Palazzo Chigi concluded between Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and the heads of delegation who will meet in the evening for the Council of Ministers on the Budget Law. In the morning, the government will meet with the presidents of the regions and the ANCI, taking other hours for reflection before deciding on new restrictive measures.
On the table a closure of the premises (restaurants, bars, pubs) between 10 pm and 11 pm, to be modulated with the greater “squeeze” on weekends. Among the new provisions there could be a further tightening on amateur contact sports and on certain physical activities (gyms could end up in the sights); hairdressers, beauticians and beauty salons; cinemas and theaters; game rooms and Bingo.
For smart working, a decisive implementation seems likely, up to 70%. Schools should stay out of these new restrictions, even if the CTS would have received indications for modulated ‘dad’, as well as for staggered schedules. The provisions could be more restrictive for regions with a higher risk. A new lockdown, explicitly excluded by Prime Minister Conte, is out of the question.
