With the detection of 16 thousand 171 new cases in the last 24 hours in the corona virus epidemic in the UK, the total number of cases increased to 705 thousand 428.
The corona virus outbreak continues to spread rapidly in Europe. According to the data announced by the British Ministry of Health, it was stated that 16 thousand 171 new corona virus cases were detected in the last 24 hours, and the total number of cases reached 705 thousand 428. While 150 people died in the last 24 hours due to Covid-19 in the country, the number of people who lost their lives since the outbreak started increased to 43 thousand 579. According to government data, the number of daily cases detected in the UK in the last 24 hours has increased by 512 people compared to the day before, while the number of people who died has increased by 14 compared to yesterday.
The UK government announced that new local restrictions will be imposed on October 12 to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The restrictions that Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated will be implemented in three stages, Liverpool and the Lancashire region, which includes many cities in the north of England, were the areas with the highest level of restrictions.
Objecting Greater Manchester to enter the highest stage, Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham stated that he wants the government to provide financial support to businesses if the third stage is to be made. Saying that he has not reached an agreement with Greater Manchester yet, Prime Minister Johnson stated that local restrictions will not be abandoned and that he avoids national isolation.
While the new local restrictions announced earlier this week in the UK were gradually implemented, bars and restaurants were closed in cities with the highest tier restrictions, and individuals from different households were banned from gathering in indoor and outdoor environments.
On the other hand, England became the third country in Europe to exceed the 700 thousand case limit after Spain and France.
