The Champigny police station with the supporting departmental security is responsible for the investigation, said the prosecution.
“No one respects the police anymore”
The Alliance union immediately denounced this attack. “It is high time that the government seized on the violence committed against the police (…) No one respects the police and the government has unfortunately not succeeded in reversing this trend”, reacted its general delegate, Frédéric Lagache. “What will it take for the government to commit to protecting its police forces,” he added.
This police station has already been targeted by this type of attack several times, especially last April during confinement or even in 2018. This attack comes after that Wednesday evening of two police officers, in civilian clothes, shot and wounded in Herblay (Val- d’Oise) while on mission.
