Conchata Ferrell (1943-2020) is dead. The US actress died on October 12 at the age of 77 as a result of complications following a cardiac arrest. This is what the industry journal “Deadline” reports. According to this, Ferrell passed away peacefully with her family in a hospital in Sherman Oaks, a district of Los Angeles.

The actress has been seen in numerous roles over the past decades, including often in series such as “Murder is her hobby”, “Who’s the boss here?” and “Sabrina – Totally Bewitched!”. Ferrell also appeared in films such as “Erin Brockovich” or “Edward Scissorhands”. But she was best known for her role as housekeeper Berta on the popular sitcom “Two and a Half Men”.

In truth, she was warm and vulnerable

Jon Cryer (55), who played Alan Harper in “Two and a Half Men”, got in touch after the news became known on Twitter. “She was a wonderful person,” explained Cryer, among other things. In July it was revealed that Ferrell had suffered a serious heart attack. After several weeks in an intensive care unit, she was moved to a nursing home, according to US media reports. At that time she was still dependent on a ventilator and dialysis machine. So she could perceive her surroundings and was conscious, but could neither speak nor communicate.
