If the 600 horsepower of the RS Q8 isn’t enough, ABT may have the solution.
With an RS range which has been particularly full in recent years on the Audi side, the German preparer ABT Sportsline had plenty to do. The Audi Q8 has already passed through the hands of Kempten engineers, but we obviously expected something more striking with the RS Q8, the technical cousin of the Lamborghini Urus.
Powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter TFSI V8, the Audi RS Q8 initially develops 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. A hell of a machine capable of traveling at over 305 km / h. As for ABT Sportsline, we can obviously do better with this engine, as evidenced by this RS Q8 that the preparer presents to us. This one develops 700 horsepower and 880 Nm de couple.
700 horsepower is still not enough? With the ABT Power S kit, the power can go up to 740 horsepower and 920 Nm. With this extra power, the Audi RS Q8 goes from 0 to 100 km / h in the space of 3.5 seconds with 700 horsepower and 3.4 seconds with 740 horses, while being able to reach 315 km / h. Rather not bad for a machine of more than two tons is not it?
ABT Sportsline also offers, as an option, a new exhaust system with electrically controlled flap punctuated by four 102 mm exhaust cannulas and made of carbon fiber. The preparer also planned to install an ABT Level Control ECU to lower the ride height, to integrate a rear spoiler and carbon fiber side inserts and 23-inch ABT High Performance GR rims in gloss black finish.
ABT has not communicated on the prices of this preparation, but it will be added to the price of 154’900 euros of the Audi RS Q8 in France, without the essential options to have the most complete model possible.
