A reopening for some rooms
This Wednesday, October 14, 2020, Emmanuel Macron announced the establishment of a curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., effective from midnight this Saturday, throughout Île-de-France and several metropolises: Grenoble, Lille, Lyon, Aix-Marseille, Montpellier, Rouen, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.
Concerning the sports halls, some reopen their doors while others are still and always closed, causing the misunderstanding of their subscribers. Here are the reasons why your gym is, or is not, open.
Department of Hauts-de-Seine
In the Hauts-de-Seine, some rooms have been able to reopen, following a judicial decision by the administrative court. Only a week after their second closure, these rooms have reopened since Wednesday. Reopening possible under certain conditions.
The activities authorized in these clubs are those allowing to maintain safety distances between the participants, and of course the wearing of the mask. For example, if your gym has reopened, some group lessons, such as combat boxing, will not be available, which does not allow you to maintain a safe distance. It is therefore drop by drop, and depending on the different activities offered, that some rooms in the department were able to reopen this week.
Some gyms, like the Usine, were able to reopen their doors, but not for all their subscribers. In fact, access to the gym will only be possible on presentation of a medical prescription. It is therefore only those who have a physical activity directly recommended by the doctor, who will have access to the various infrastructures. A reopening for those whose health requires playing sports.
Know how to distance yourself
It is important to remember that even if your gym is open, you owe it to yourself to continue to apply barrier gestures, and to train intelligently. Those who can are advised not to go to the gym as often as possible. If you go to the gym for a run, it’s best to do it outside, or in a park. All the activities you can do at home, or even outdoors, will therefore be preferred during this epidemic.
