Can you imagine traveling pregnant on a plane and giving birth in flight? It sounds incredible, but it did and did happen in India.
It turns out that on an Indigo airline flight traveling from Dehli to Bangalore, a pregnant woman began to feel ill an hour after the plane took off.
This was a surprise, as it appears that the woman was fit to travel and had not yet expected the baby to arrive.
After realizing that she was actually about to give birth, the crew began to prepare and fortunately a doctor was traveling on the plane.
“We are delighted to welcome baby Bakshi to the world at 30,000 feet in our slim, clean flying machine.”the airline wrote in a LinkedIn post.
“Both mother and baby are doing well and we send our best wishes”, they ended.

A passenger who was on the plane posted a video on his Twitter account in which he can see when the staff and other passengers received the mother with the baby safely with applause.
“Amazing scenes. A baby was born in the air today on the @ IndiGo6E Delhi – Bangalore flight, helped by the airline crew. Perhaps the future IndiGo pilot.”the user wrote.
