At the G-20, Bolsonaro says he protects nature, leaves early and posts an animation video

At the meeting of the G-20 this Sunday, 22, Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) extolled the government’s role in preserving the environment. The president also posted an animated video on his social networks and, as happened on Saturday, 21, left the meeting early.

Bolsonaro said he suffered from “demagogic phrases that demote the public debate” when it comes to defending the Amazon and the Pantanal. “We will always work to maintain this high level of preservation, as well as to repel unjustified attacks by less competitive and less sustainable nations.”

Before, in the BRICS, the president said he would present a list of countries that bought illegal Brazilian wood – according to him, those responsible for deforestation in the northern region of the country -, but has not yet released the names.

On Saturday, the chief executive also minimized racism in Brazil and said he was right about the HIV pandemic new coronavirus.

“From the beginning, we stressed that it was necessary to take care of health and the economy, simultaneously. Time has proven that we were right, ”he said.

In the video posted on his social networks, a stone giant struggles to prevent a giant rock from destroying a city, but is attacked by the people he defended and gives up on holding the boulder (destroying the ungrateful village).

The president was criticized for the analogy.
