PSDB, MDB, PSD and PT lead in the largest cities in the country; read research

The most recent research indicates that PSDB, MDB, PSD e PT they can have the highest percentage of mayors elected in 2020 in the main cities of the country. The parties have the highest number of competitive candidates in the G96, the group that brings together the 26 capitals and 70 cities with more than 200 thousand voters (and in which it is possible to have a 2nd round).

Toucans are at the top of the ranking. In all, they have 18 competitive candidates, who lead alone or within the margin of error of the studies. If the results are confirmed, the acronym should lose part of the power it held in 2016, when it elected 29 mayors in the group.

MDB is 2nd on the list, it now has 15 politicians in this situation. PT and PSD come next. Each 1 may have 12 municipalities in their hands.

A week ago, O Poder360 did the same survey. Little has changed. But now the big parties have concentrated their voting intentions even more.

The evolutionary chart below shows the number of mayors of each acronym in the largest Brazilian cities and how the scenario from 2021 can be:

For the infographic above, opinion surveys available until November 13 with known methodologies and in which it was possible to verify the origin of the information were considered. All withdrawals are registered in the electoral justice.
