There are eleven suspected cases of the British Corona variant in the German Clinic in Bayreuth. According to the clinic, a total of 99 employees tested positive for Corona.

After the appearance of the British corona mutant, a quarantine order applies to around 3,000 employees at the Bayreuth Clinic. By order of the health authorities, all employees are now subject to a so-called shuttle quarantine, as the clinic announced on Tuesday. You are still allowed to commute to work and home without public transport, but in the home environment you have to adhere to a quarantine.

In the clinic there are eleven suspected cases of the variant of the corona virus, which is considered to be significantly more contagious. A final result is only expected in ten to 14 days. According to the clinic, a total of 99 employees of the clinic are currently tested positive for Corona, these employees are not on duty. A series of tests of more than 2,800 employees so far revealed 18 positive cases over the weekend.

In addition to the quarantine order, there is also an admission freeze for all planned interventions. Patients can only be discharged if they have had two negative corona tests within 48 hours.
