BERLIN, Feb 26 (Reuters) – The world’s largest economies should continue their rescue and support measures for workers and businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as recovery is taking longer than initially thought German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz said on Friday.
“We must not cut back on support programs too soon and too quickly,” Scholz said before a virtual meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from the world’s 20 largest economies, adding that he would campaign with his G20 colleagues to a continuous stimulus.
