“We started to think about how the stars could look really beautiful, almost like a dream, so we created these constellations,” Ffrench said of conceptualizing appearance. ‘They go back to nature, this vastness of a night sky.’ To create the shapes, Ffrench used jet black or white paint to trace some delicate star shapes around the eyes, cheeks, and nose in an asymmetrical formation. Then he applied small glass studs in the center of the shapes, as well as around them, turning each face into a bright starry canvas. Radiant skin (enhanced with Burberry Fresh Glow foundation and gel bars), groomed brows, and moist nude lips complemented the look with a fresh, futuristic effect, creating one of makeup trends of the year.
