TV chef Steffen Henssler has two daughters. Now he reveals whether his offspring are as enthusiastic about the wooden spoon as he is.
Usually holds Steffen Henssler, 48, his private life out of the public eye. But in the program “NDR Talk Show” the “Grill den Henssler” star made an exception and talked about his daughters – he also talked about his children’s cooking skills.
Steffen Henssler: Did his daughters inherit his talent for cooking?
“One has a desire and talent to cook, with the other I still hope that it comes,” said the 48-year-old in an interview with Bettina Tietjen, 61 and Jörg Pilawa, 65. And one of his daughters seems to have real potential, to follow in his footsteps, because she was “a real Henssler in her way”, as the proud papa went on to explain. He also added: “If you saw that now, you would celebrate it extremely, both of course when I talked about you. They of course notice what is happening in my life and find it very exciting.”
That sounded different a few years ago. In 2013 he admitted to “Bunte” that his daughters were not fans of his kitchen. At that time they were six and five years old, respectively. “They prefer to eat spaghetti and French fries – only now and then there is sushi,” said Henssler eight years ago. Fortunately, that has changed.
Children have huge gaps in nutrition and food
The topic of nutrition in children is also generally close to the heart of the TV chef. In the talk show, he made the following suggestion: “You have to bring nutrition education or nutritional knowledge to school.” Because his experience has shown that many children have large gaps when it comes to nutrition and food.
