It is again the Nigerian who pulled the chestnuts out of the fire for Racing. The defending vice-champion took the opportunity to climb on the Pro League podium.
Four days after a vital goal in stoppage time in Vienna, at the start of the Europa League campaign, Paul Onuachu did it again on the lawn of STVV, in the always eagerly awaited Limburg derby.
However, it was the Canaries who opened the scoring. Yuma Suzuki’s goal had allowed STVV to return to the locker room with the advantage. But the reigning runners-up responded in the final 20 minutes.
Joseph Paintsil first equalized (73rd) before Paul Onuachu scored the winning goal a few minutes from the final whistle. This is the Nigerian striker’s fourth Pro League goal this season and Genk takes the opportunity to climb on the podium, with the same number of points as Eupen.
