There is no doubt that one of our main concerns is the environment, and every time we go shopping it is inevitable to ask ourselves questions such as: Where does it come from? How much am I going to use it? I really need it? and where will it end?

The good news is that our favorite brands are taking more and more actions to produce less CO2 emissions and reduce their carbon footprint so much. Either integrating sustainable materials in the production of their articles or that in association with non-profit organizations they support programs for different causes such as reforestation, archaeological reserves, care of species, etc.

The best example of this is Cool Planet, the new sub-brand of Steve Madden that focuses on creating super trendy shoes in a sustainable way. In other words, the materials with which a pair of shoes are made are renewable, recycled or vegan.

In addition, it created an alliance with One Tree Planted, an organization that fights deforestation. Now, for every pair of shoes bought, Steve Madden will plant a tree to gradually repopulate all those places in need of reforestation.

We love its new season, as it brings us an all-terrain collection that is perfect for any nature lover. It is a variety of basic sneakers perfect for a picnic and a set of boots with a track sole ideal for a quiet afternoon walk in the forest.

If you are an adventurous person, you are surely a fan of Timberland and all that it offers, that is why we cannot fail to mention its new and innovative line of footwear: Greenstride, a collection made of 75% completely renewable materials.

Among the materials with which these innovative boots are made are sugar cane, natural rubber and regenerative leather. The fabrics are made from ReBOTL (a type of textile made from recycled plastic) and TimberDry waterproof liners that contain 50% recycled plastic.

This daring variety of off-road boots are found in the brand’s classic brown color and in the typical black that goes with everything. They are ideal for any adventure, be it a walk around town on a rainy day or camping somewhere more extreme. It is the perfect combination of comfort, utility, sustainability and aesthetics. What more could we ask for?
