This Thursday there was an attack in the Municipal Palace of Guaymas, Sonora, which left three people dead, two men and one woman.
The deceased woman was identified as Marisol Cuadras, an 18-year-old feminist who was participating in a peaceful protest as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The young woman called on her social networks to participate in the symbolic takeover of the municipal palace.
Earlier, she posed with her fellow cartel members with the legend ‘we want each other alive‘and a photo was even taken with the mayor, Karla Córdova González.

At the moment the authorities have not confirmed the crime motive nor the identity of the aggressors.
Feminist groups in Sonora condemned the attack and affirmed that it is an example of the risk situation faced by women in the state.
In social media posts, her feminist colleagues pay tribute to her and propose to continue the struggle in which she believed.

The Sonora prosecutor’s office affirmed that the situation is of the Red Code, which provoked the reaction of security agencies of the three levels of government.
The governor, Alfonso Durazo, regretted the situation and sent his condolences to the families of the victims.
