In La Mañanera, the president responded to questions about the new director of the FIU, Pablo Gómez, and argued that Morena’s deputy is an incorruptible man, for which he also considered his appointment as good.

“I think it was a good decision for Santiago Nieto to present his resignation and I think the appointment of Pablo Gómez was a good decisionHe is a man of integrity, honest, incorruptible. Do I have to say more? ”he said.

On Monday, Nieto Castillo presented his resignation to the President, according to the agency. This, after marrying the counselor Carla Humphrey in Guatemala and sparking a controversy for the luxurious wedding and the arrival of several guests in a plane with 35 mi dollars in cash.

In addition, the former official explained that he submitted his resignation due to the criticism derived from the acts of third parties and so as not to affect the federal government project; at the same time, he made it clear that his loyalty is with López Obrador.
